What’s the story behind the wooden orca sculpture by Anthony’s Beach Café at the Edmonds Marina?

Turns out it was placed there by Puget Sound Express, which offers whale-watching from the marina, next to a line queue for those boarding M/V Saratoga.

There is a similar wooden orca at Puget Sound Express’s home office in Port Townsend.

Both were created by a Whidbey Island artist.

As you may know, there is another wooden orca, this one an Edmonds icon at Brackett’s Landing North, created by John Hurley.
