Warriors take 2nd at districts | Boys swimming

Edmonds-Woodway took second place at the 3A District 1 boys swimming and diving championships Saturday, Feb. 10, at Snohomish Aquatic Center.

The Warriors won two relay events – 200 medley relay (Jeff Plum, Daniel Yuteng Wang, Lucas Mraz) and the 400 freestyle relay (Anton Teplouhov, Niko Inadomi, Ben Palmer, Mraz).

Meadowdale’s Sean Nguyenle finished first in the 200 individual medley and the 100 butterfly.

Also advancing to this week’s 3A state championships were Edmonds-Woodway’s Anthony Edwards (fourth in 200 freestyle, fourth in 500 freestyle), Meadowdale’s Max Khaperman (fourth in 50 freestyle, second in 100 freestyle), Edmonds-Woodway’s Logan Schnitzius (third in 500 freestyle), Edmonds-Woodway’s Jeff Plum (fourth in 100 backstroke), Edmonds-Woodway’s Daniel Eno (second in 100 breaststroke), Edmonds-Woodway’s Yuteng Wang (third in 100 breaststroke) and the E-W 400 freestyle relay team of Wang, Plum, Schnitzius and Eno (second). Shorewood won the team title with 206.5 points, just ahead of the Warriors, which finished with 393 points.
