UNCLAD art show features ‘spectacularly talented’ artists | Letter

Mar 31, 2016

Editor, The Beacon:

I was fortunate enough to be in town this weekend and attend the UNCLAD art show at the Edmonds Yacht Club twice, the second time to share it with friends from Seattle [“UNCLAD art show features 10 local artists,” The Beacon, page 6, March 17].

It featured a spectacularly talented group of 90 artists working in a variety of standard but also very unique media from all over Washington but also as far away as Michigan, North Carolina and Montreal, Canada.

Further, it was accompanied by a public 12-hour life drawing marathon at the senior center for a very nominal fee.

I would like to extend a hearty thank you and congratulations to Gayle Picken and her team, whose hard work created this jewel and to all the sponsors and the Yacht Club.

The very high quality of pieces on display was easily in league with the annual Edmonds Arts Festival, and I certainly hope I can look forward to it becoming an annual Edmonds event.

This is the kind of community activity that makes Edmonds such a very special place to live. Thank you.

Sincerely,

Jurgen Rieger,

Edmonds
