Tom Bennett was born Dec. 30, 1935, in Oakland, California, and died Nov.17, 2017, in Edmonds. Between these two dates he graced the world with his bright countenance, unbridled enthusiasm, piercing wit and unwavering devotion to family.

He also was a popular lecturer of business. He held an MBA (Seattle U) and a PhD in Education (UW).

Tom was a man of faith who loved his family dearly and always attended his children’s and grandchildren’s sports and performances. He and his wife Marilyn celebrated 54 years of happy marriage.

He served on the Seattle-Nantes Sister City Association board of directors, and with SNSCA he set up a scholarship in his mother's name for college students studying French.
