Susan (Lee) Morgan: 1946-2018

Susan Rae (Lee) Morgan, born Jan. 20, 1946, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, passed away at age 72 on July 25, 2018, in Bellevue, Washington, after a four-year battle with ovarian cancer.

She attended West Valley High School in Yakima, and graduated in the top 10 of her class of 1964, then went on to Central Washington University, where she majored in psychology, moving on to teach for about six years in the Seattle School District's Head Start Program.

She worked in the audio-visual/tour sound industry at Morgan Sound, Inc., as the co-owner, vice president and secretary until retiring in 2018 after over 45 years of service.

Susan was preceded in death by her parents, William and Rae Lee, and her sister, Nancy (Lee) Swanson. Susan is survived by her brother, Jeff Lee, and his children Hannah and Elsie Lee. She also leaves behind her devoted poodle, Jayden.

Friends and family members may attend the celebration of life, officiated by Pastor David Lundsford, 1-4 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 16, at Royal Banquet and Conference Hall, 520 128th St. SW, Suite A-8, Everett, Washington 98204.

Plans are underway to create the Susan Morgan Scholarship Fund to support young people who wish to get involved in the industry she loved so much. We ask that you either donate to the cancer cure fund of your choice in her name or collect the information to donate to the Scholarship Fund at her Memorial or by email at scholarship@morgansound.com.
