Small earthquake reported in Edmonds

Here is the approximate location of the March 7 earthquake in Edmonds.

The United States Geological Survey reports that a magnitude 2.5 earthquake struck Edmonds at about 10 p.m. Wednesday, March 7, at a depth of about 14.7 miles.

The quake was centered near 240th Street SW, south of Madrona K-8.

The Beacon has received a few responses on its Facebook page, including one from a reader who said her ceiling fan light pull swung back and forth.

Another readers said dog was acting strangely at about the time of the quake.
