Bastyr Center for Natural Health On-Site Clinic

The clinic provides naturopathic medicine to people of ALL AGES. Treatments may include dietary and lifestyle counseling and education, hands-on physical therapies, and herbal and nutritional supplements. The clinic is open on Wednesdays. You MUST schedule an appointment to be seen. Call 425-774-5555 ext. 108. The cost is $15 for each visit and is paid to the Edmonds Senior Center to help offset the costs associated with offering this program. This fee can be waived if it presents a financial hardship for the patient.

Join In for a Community Breakfast

On the first Friday of every month the Edmonds Senior Center hosts a community breakfast for $5. Come meet your neighbors and enjoy eggs with ham, pancakes and biscuits & gravy.


The center offers a healthy hot meal every day at the Center from 11:25 a.m. - 12:25 p.m. $3 suggested donation for those 60 and older ($4 on Thursday). You do not need to be a member of the senior center to participate in the lunch program.

Volunteer Your Time and Skills

Teach a class on your favorite subject, host a trip, lead a band, the opportunities are endless. There are plenty of volunteer opportunities of all sizes at Edmonds Senior Center.

Tech Services

Do you have a laptop or desktop computer that is driving you crazy? Is it running slow, acting weird or frozen again? Bring it to the Health and Wellness Computer Learning Lab. $40 flat fee for most services. Call for details 425-286-1038.

Computer Learning Centers at Northshore

Your best bet for basic and intermediate computer training. Skilled volunteer instructors. Easy learning pace geared for seniors. Software applications for the current business world or personal enjoyment.

Graphics, word processing, photos, spreadsheets, Win7, Win10, Craigslist, Facebook, special needs software, computer users' groups and more. Class length and sessions at nominal fees make learning new software easy, with no pressure.

Mill Creek Computer Learning Center

The Computer Learning Center at Mill Creek specializes in training people with little or no computer knowledge. Their objective is to help you learn, not to just present class materials.

Classes for beginners and people not comfortable using computers include: Windows Intermediate; Internet and E-mail

Classes for people comfortable using computers include basic Microsoft Office classes like: Word; Excel

And FUN CLASSES like: Digital Cameras; Digital Photography; Photoshop Elements; Photo Editing; Print Shop (Greeting Cards); Shutter fly (Create Photo Book On Line).

The Mill Creek Branch's Computer Lab is in the Annex Building next to Mill Creek City Hall, 15720 Main St., Mill Creek.

Mukilteo’s Rosehill Community Center

A range of courses, classes and other activities are offered for seniors. Among them:

Posture Alignment – Pain is the body’s way of alerting you to the fact that your body isn’t aligned and therefore isn’t moving properly. Gentle exercises and stretches will return musculoskeletal balance and symmetry back to your body. You will feel pain relief immediately. Next session 1-2 p.m. March 15, $12.

Senior Balance & Strength – Designed to build muscle and bone strength and reduce the risk of falls by improving strength, posture, balance and flexibility. The exercises are proven safe and effective for managing osteoporosis and osteopenia. The class involves strength training and gentle cardio. Next session 1-1:45 p.m. March 1-29, $65.

Gentle Yoga – Develop balance, strength, flexibility and inner calm. Friendly. Simple. Safe. Bring a yoga mat, water bottle and small towel. Next session 10:30-11:30 a.m. Feb. 21-March 28, $54.

Adult Coloring for Fun & Relaxation – Spend time coloring for fun while learning about different mediums, blending and shading. Call to pre-register. Students should bring own coloring books, colored pencils, markers, crayons and/or gel pens. Next session March 21, free.

Osher Lifelong Learning Institute Lecture Series – Join in on the first Tuesday of the month for a free lecture and stay tuned for courses and peer groups. The institute at the UW invites adults over 50 to come together to share intellectual interests and make new friends. Current and retired UW faculty and community experts lead courses and events. Free to people age 50+. Next lecture 10:30-11:30 a.m. March 7.

Defensive Driving – This one day classroom driver refresher course for seniors 55 and over. Participants are given a discount by all auto insurers in the state. Bring a lunch and a snack. Call 425-263-8180 to reserve your spot. Next session 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. March 8, $20.

Free Snack & A Movie – Bring a lunch and they’ll supply the snacks/dessert. Enjoy a great movie on their big screen TV. Next up: March 1, “The Finest Hour.” In February 1952, one of the worst storms to ever hit the East Coast struck New England, and ripped an oil tanker in half. Four members of the Coast Guard set out in a small lifeboat facing frigid temperatures and 70-foot waves to rescue more than 30 stranded sailors.

Free Mah Jongg Informational Class and Game – Learn the basics of Mah Jongg, a Chinese tile game similar to Rummy. Tuesdays and Fridays from noon to 4 p.m. through March 31 at Rosehill Community Center. Beginners welcome.

Free! Learn to Play Party Bridge – Each group of 4 plays four hands and the total score is noted on a small form. The players move to the next table and play with a new partner. After 7-9 sets, scores are totaled. The highest individual score gets a token prize. They’re very patient as everyone learns at a different pace. Free! Party Bridge – Brush up on your bridge skills with an opportunity to learn more as you play. Call Mamta Shah at 425-789-1106 to arrange for play time. On the 2nd & 4th Mondays  from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Rosehill Community Center. Next opportunity: March 13 & 27.
