Sculptors Workshop sale supports Washington Kids in Transition

Nov 16, 2017

Sculptors Workshop, a nonprofit arts organization, continues to celebrate its 50th anniversary during an open house Friday and Saturday, Nov. 17-18.

The biannual sale will be held at the Francis Anderson Center, 700 Dayton, Edmonds, in rooms 210 and 211.

Hours are 1-8 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m.-2 p.m. Sunday.

“We wanted to do something extra special this year as part of our anniversary celebration,” Sculptors Workshop pottery director Julie Perrine said. "Washington Kids in Transition is an organization with a passion for helping local homeless students and, unfortunately, when I spoke to their director the other day, she told me the number of homeless students in the Edmonds School district has increased. We wanted to do something to help.”

Earlier this year, Sculptors Workshop members and guests created textured dishes with the intention of selling them to raise money for Washington Kids in Transition.

You can look for this special display at the sale, where 100 percent of proceeds will be donated to Washington Kids in Transition.
