Rotary hosts photo contest with a twist

The Edmonds Rotary Noon Club will host a Photomarathon on Sept. 6, giving photographers of all skill levels the challenge of taking six photos about six topics in 6 hours.

The event will begin at 9 a.m. at the office of RBC Wealth Management, 303 Fifth Ave S. Registration starts at 9 a.m., and topics will be announced at 10 a.m.

All photos must be taken with a digital camera or smart phone, and must be shot in Edmonds on the day of the event.

Photos must be submitted by 4 p.m. by email or an SD card.

The registration fee is $20. Prizes will be awarded for the best photo of each topic, and a “People’s Choice Award” will be given for the photo selected by the public.

An awards event and silent auction will be held from 2-5 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 5, at Artworks on Second and Dayton.
