Dave Page loved Edmonds and the bounty of Puget Sound.

Page, who died Sunday, June 25, at age 73, was a frequent contributor to the Beacon’s Letters to Editor section, and took the time to send us photos of his fishing successes, including this shot of pink salmon.

“This is the picture of the limit of humpies that Mindy and I caught on Aug. 25 at the old shipwreck by Picnic Point. It was an Edmonds kind of day,” he wrote in August 2015.

Dave was active in the community, as the former owner of Edmonds Realty.

He was a voice for citizens at council meetings, a former member of the Edmonds Senior Center board, and two years ago was instrumental in getting Fire Station 16 on 196th Street SW to honor longtime Edmonds resident Betty Mueller, who founded both the police and fire foundations.

Funeral arrangements are pending.
