Photo by: Brian Soergel QFC's delivery service debuted in December. Now the store has its grand opening Sept. 27 after an extensive remodeling.

We know you’ve had trouble finding where the dog food has moved to at QFC in Edmonds.

That’s been just one small part of Kroger’s $2.2 million remodel, which includes updated décor, improved store entrances, polished floor, repainted the exterior and new energy initiatives, such as updating to LED lights.

To celebrate, QFC will be handing out gift bags at the door to the first 200 customers at the store at 8 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27.

Gift bags will include a coupon for a free breakfast (a dozen eggs, package of bacon and carton of orange juice) as well as a QFC gift card. The gift cards will be for $5, except for one worth $300.

It’s like a golden ticket, yes.

A ribbon-cutting ceremony will be held at 8:30 a.m., where QFC will also present two $1,000 checks, one to the Edmonds Food Bank and one to the Boys & Girls Club of Edmonds.
