Feb 17, 2016

Editor, The Beacon:

On Friday, Jan. 1, the Edmonds Uplift Society hosted the 9th Annual Polar Bear Plunge at Brackett’s Landing in Edmonds.

Proceeds raised for the Edmonds Historical Museum by the Edmonds Uplift Society exceeded over $1,000 for the first time in the history of the Polar Bear Plunge.

Plans are underway for the 10th Annual Polar Bear Plunge, which will be held on Sunday, Jan. 1.

After the tenth anniversary plunge, the Edmonds Uplift Society will be closing its membership books and retiring its signature white bathrobes.

The Edmonds Uplift Society and the Edmonds Historical Museum are soliciting interested parties to continue the traditional Polar Bear Plunge pre-function activities and work with the museum to raise money during future swims.
