Mike McMurray, the Edmonds developer behind Main Street Commons at Main Street and Sixth Avenue South, has a new website that gives detailed information about the project.

It’s mainstreetcommons.us.

“The website is intended to give a broad overview of the project and continue to allow the community to be involved In the process and refine what it will become,” McMurray said.

There are currently three businesses set for occupation of the Main Street frontage spaces. The Art Alley retail/restaurant spaces are still available, along with an exercise space.

“Ideally, the town has voiced that they would really like to see establishment of a sushi, vegan, healthy lunch spot, juice-bar type business. So, ideally, I would like to see those spots filled by top-requested offerings of locals.”

All current pending tenants and overall plans are subject to change, as McMurray still is in a pending permit/review process with the City.

“I want to thank local artists Mona T. Smiley-Fairbanks (“Quillback Rockfish Mural”) and Sue Coccia (“Flying Heron Mural”) for allowing me to use their beautiful artwork on this site,” McMurray said.

In addition, McMurray shed light on community requests from another space he plans to open across Main Street Commons at 519 Main, the former home of Fabric of Life.

They are:

·  Plant-based ice cream (created by churned almond milk, sensitive to people with allergies);

· A year-round, outdoor music stage, (one of the top requests from locals was for live year-round music)

· Rec room concept operated by a pizzeria to be named; ’80s arcade and rollerball bowling; safe/family-fun-type element;

· Event space located near downtown Edmonds for local groups to meet and host events; and

· Place for local artists and creative spirits to sell their wares and art with market/vendor stalls.
