The Edmonds chapter of Women in Black, a worldwide network of women committed to peace with justice and opposed to injustice, war, militarism and other forms of violence, gather from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. every Sunday by the ferry dock.

A recent vigil saw extra women there to honor Marion Reed, who turned 90 June 25.

“She has been a pillar at the Women in Black presence at that site, standing for peace nearly every Sunday since January of 2003,” Linda Van Citters said.

Reed is the one in a straw hat, white clothes and sparkling smile.
