Non-Movement Fitness at Harbor Square Athletic Club? What’s that?

In what might seem like an unlikely pairing, Harbor Square Athletic Club is teaming up with local mental health therapist Peggy Farah for a new kind of “fitness” class.

Offered monthly on Monday afternoons, Thrive™ classes will not involve physical movement but rather will be focused on stretching the mind, flexing the heart and energizing the spirit.

This hour-long class will feature mindfulness instruction, a talk on a featured wellness/lifestyle topic followed by group discussion and guided meditation.

The next Thrive™ class will take place at 2:30 p.m. Monday, May 21, in the mind-body studio at Harbor Square. Class size is restricted to 20 participants; pre-registration is required.
