Edmonds Beach Walk this Thursday

Join Edmonds Discovery Programs and the WSU Snohomish County Extension Beach Watchers for a low tide beach walk under the stars.

Bring a flashlight, and dress for the weather on this wintry evening.  Meet at the Olympic Beach Visitor Station, 200 Admiral Way, Edmonds.

Explore the beach as the tide goes out, and then return to the Visitor Station for some hot beverages to take the chill off!

This event is FREE, and appropriate for all ages.  There is no registration required.

Volunteer drivers needed at Edmonds Senior Center

The Edmonds Senior Center is seeking volunteer drivers for fun senior trips and excursions.  Drivers must have current CDL and clean driving record.

This is a great way give back to your community.

Driver will accompany our senior members on the trips, which includes attending the functions for FREE.

Past trips include Ride the Ducks, plays, casinos, Argosy Cruises and more.

Experienced Theatrical Directors sought

The Edmonds Driftwood Players are seeking experienced theatrical directors for their 55th season, which includes five pre-selected productions, running Sept. 2013 - June 2014.

Directors will be selected for each of five productions through an interview process.

Clothes for Kids to host bowl-a-thon

Clothes For Kids is pleased to partner with the Lynnwood Chamber to offer their first combined Bowl-A-Thon.

The event will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Lynnwood Bowl & Skate on April 17.

All funds raised will directly benefit Clothes For Kids to provide wardrobes for more than 4,500 low-income students this school year.

There is a $25 per person or $100 per team registration fee, for which bowlers will receive a t-shirt and two games of bowling.

Additionally, bowlers can collect pledges for Clothes For Kids--and will receive one entry in the Grand Prize drawing for every $100 in pledges collected.

Or teams can select to sponsor the event for $250 or $500.
