Memorial service for Ken Gaydos scheduled

The family of Chaplain Ken Gaydos invites the public to memorial events planned for this week.

Gaydos, a former Edmonds Fire Department chaplain who more than 30 years ago created the nonprofit aid vehicle Support 7, died Sept. 3 from cancer and other complications.

He was 79.

The services will focus on his life, service and family.

Public viewing is 3-7 p.m. Sept. 13-14 at Beck’s Funeral Home, 405 Fifth Ave. S, Edmonds.

A memorial service is 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at Alderwood Community Church, 3403 Alderwood Mall Blvd.,, Lynnwood.

A burial follows the service at Edmonds Memorial Cemetery, 820 15th St. SW, Edmonds.
