Meadowdale beats Shorewood in three games | Prep volleyball

The Meadowdale volleyball team stayed alive in the 3A Wesco tournament on Thursday, Nov. 7, beating Shorewood in three games.

The Mavericks won 25-11, 30-28, 25-18.

Gabrielle Mahler posted 10 kills in the win, while teammate Sloane Morrison had 12 kills and Amy Rickel posted 17 digs. Annelise Blachard had 11 digs and Tara Fishback had 36 assists.

Meadowdale, now 12-4 this season, will play Mountlake Terrace on Saturday, Nov. 9 at 1 p.m. at Glacier Peak High School in the consolation semifinals. The winner will face the winner of the Stanwood vs. Everett match in the third place game on Nov. 9 at 3 p.m. The third place team will earn the final state berth from District 1 to the 3A state tournament.
