Maria Cantwell in campaign stop Thursday in Edmonds

Photo by: Brian Soergel From July 2017: U.S. Sen. Maria Cantwell stopped by Brackett's Landing North on Saturday, July 8. Cantwell had been invited to help local divers celebrate the 40th anniversary of the Edmonds Underwater Park. She walked to the end of the jetty with diver Yara Silva.

U.S. Sen. Maria Cantwell will speak in her hometown 6 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, as part of her "Get Out the Vote" tour in Washington state.

She is scheduled to appear at Rick Steves' Europe, 130 Fourth Ave. N, Edmonds.

Cantwell will be joined by fellow Democrats U.S. Rep Suzan DelBene, state Rep. Strom Peterson (21st District) – also from Edmonds – state Rep. Lillian Ortiz-Self (32nd District) and Ivan Lewis, a candidate for the 39th Legislative District.

Cantwell is being opposed by Republican Susan Hutchison in Tuesday's general election, while Peterson is up against Republican Amy Schaper, Ortiz-Self against Republican Petra Bigea, and Lewis against Republican Robert J. Sutherland.
