Say goodbye to the first mural in Edmonds – Pat Brier’s “A Day in Edmonds,” installed in 2009 on the Main Street side of Sound Styles.

On Tuesday, May 29, Craig Haley of Letterworks fired up a blowtorch to heat the mural’s vinyl in order to remove it. The mural was in poor condition, as parts of it were falling apart.

The Mural Project of Edmonds will be commissioning a new mural in its place.

Look for more information on the city’s murals next week in the Edmonds Beacon.
