Lynden defeats King's 14-6 at Emerald City Kickoff Classic | Prep football

Top ranked Lynden defeated King's 14-6 in the annual Emerald City Kickoff Classic at Husky Stadium on Saturday, Sept. 7.

The Knights, playing the defending 2A state champions, were down 14-0 at the end of the first half after Lynden scored in the first and second quarters.

King's scored in the final moments of the game when Jordan Turner caught a 10-yard pass from Corey Kispert with 6 seconds on the clock.

The Knights had 190 total yards passing, outpacing Lynden's 170, while the Lions had 299 total yards. King's finished the match with 298 total yards of offense.

King's will host Port Angeles at home on Friday, Sept. 13 at 7 p.m.
