King's beats Granite Falls 55-7 | Prep football

The King's football team beat Granite Falls 55-7 on Friday, Oct. 18.

The Knights started the game with 21 points in the first quarter. Chris Yand scored off a 42-yard run, followed by Ryan Fransen returning a interception for an 80-yard pick six. Yand followed up with a 15-yard run to end the first quarter.

Yand scored in the second quarter, this time off a 5-yard run, followed by Lucas Swanson catching a 5-yard pass from Corey Kispert to make it a 35-0 game at halftime.

In the third quarter, Koa Wilkins scored on a 12-yard run, followed by Yand scoring his final points of the night, this time a 5-yard end zone run.

Granite Falls' Trae Poplin scored the Tigers only points of the game off a 2-yard run in the fourth quarter and King's followed with a Zander Evans 3-yard touchdown run.

The Knights, now 5-0 in league and 6-1 overall this season, will play Coupeville on Friday, Oct. 25 at 7 p.m.
