Kenneth Robinson

Ken passed away on October 24, after a full and complete life. He was born December 5, 1928, to Earl and Ellice Robinson of Yakima, Washington. The 3rd of 4 children, he graduated from Yakima High School in 1947, and in 1951 graduated from the University of Washington Business school. Ken joined the U.S. Navy, serving aboard a destroyer during the Korean conflict. He returned to Ellensburg, WA in 1953, where he met Charlene Rhodes. They were married on April 2, 1955, and moved to Anacortes, WA, where Ken worked at the Shell Oil refinery. Here they welcomed son, Jon, and daughter, Kristi.

During this time, Ken started what became a lifetime of service, becoming a charter member of the Anacortes Jaycees, and later joining the Masonic Lodge. Ken’s career took him to The Boeing Company in 1961, and a move to Edmonds, WA. During their 52 years in Edmonds, Ken actively participated in the lives of his children, as a volunteer for the Boy Scouts and Rainbow Girls. At this same time, he actively returned to the Masons, joining Occidental Lodge in Ballard. Upon his retirement from Boeing, he served as Grand Master of the Washington Masonic Lodge, in 1993. He remained a lifelong member and supporter of the Masonic Lodge.

Ken is survived by his wife Charlene, son Jon (Jennifer), daughter Kristi, brother James (Audrey), 5 grandchildren (Francis, Jacob, Levi, Lindsey and Laura), and a loving extended family. He is preceded in death by his sister Barbara Becker and brother George Robinson.

A memorial service is planned for Saturday November 2, 11:00 am at Northlake Christian Church, 19029 North Road, Bothell.
