James (Jim) Donald Kenny: 1938-2018

James (Jim) Donald Kenny passed away of heart complications at Swedish Edmonds Hospital on February 24, 2018.

Jim was born Dec. 10, 1938, to Dr. Francis and Bernardine Kenny. He lived most of his life in Edmonds, growing up with his brothers Francis (Pat), Gerald, Dennis, and his sister Margaret (DD).

He graduated from Christ the King School, Seattle Prep High School, Santa Clara University (B.S.C.), and George Washington University (M.B.A.).

Jim was an Eagle Scout. He served five years as an officer in the U.S. Air Force. He had a career as a software developer, primarily for local governments, including the Seattle School District. At his retirement party, his co-workers presented him with a trophy labeled "Nicest Co-Worker 1984-2004."

Jim is survived by Patricia, his wife of 53 years. They have six children: James (Susan), Richard (Julie), Mary (Rob Balen), John (Amy), Kathleen, and Timothy (Clara). They have 12 grandchildren.

Jim loved his family, the Catholic Church and coffee Frappuccinos. He had a kind and giving spirit, and he had a knack for fixing things. He was a parishioner at Holy Rosary Edmonds for many years.

Rosary was March 4 and funeral Mass March 5, both at Holy Rosary Parish in Edmonds. Interment at Holyrood Cemetery in Shoreline.
