It’s a snap: E-W students shine in photo contest

Edmonds-Woodway High School student Cora Hodges took first place in a Schack Art Center black-and-white photography contest with her image of a homeless man in Seattle who gave her permission to use the image.

Hodges’ was in ninth- and 10th-grade category.

Owen Perenchio took second place in that category, while Sam Luecken was third in the grade 11-12 category.

Honorable mentions went to E-W students Ariana Burr, Logan Bury, Morgan Davis, Haily Nanassy, Ken Razo, Navouny Swanson, and Ella Zoloft.

Photos will be on display through April 30 at the Everett gallery.
