The old sign at Yost Park served its purpose, but its ugly colors were an eyesore by many, not to mention outdated.

No more.

City workers replaced the sign on Tuesday, May 23, to match new signs at other city parks. The new sign has a replaceable panel to let people know when Yost’s pool is open.

That panel will have to be replaced Monday, May 29, when the pool opens for summer.

There’s also an update to the sign pointing to Yost Park on the northeast corner of Walnut and Ninth.
