Edmonds students graduate, earn honors

Edmonds' Sarah Rudy graduates from Emerson College in Boston

Sarah Rudy of Edmonds graduated with a bachelor of arts degree in media arts production at Emerson College's 137th commencement ceremony on May 14.

Approximately 975 bachelor's degrees were conferred during the undergraduate exercises.

Bestselling novelist and TV writer Dennis Lehane received an honorary doctor of humane letters degree and delivered the undergraduate commencement address.

Also awarded with honorary degrees were civil rights advocate Anita Hill, Pulitzer Prize-winning author David McCullough, and 2016 MacArthur Foundation "Genius Grant" winner and poet Claudia Rankine.

2 from Edmonds get honors at Montana State

Montana State University in Bozeman has announced its undergraduate honor rolls for spring semester 2017.

There are two MSU honor roll lists: the president's and the dean's honor roll. Students must complete a minimum of 12 degree-eligible credit hours to be on either list.

Two students are from Edmonds: Allison Fishman, Elliot Harrison.

Kristen Trosvig makes dean’s list at Northwest Nazarene

Kristen Trosvig of Edmonds was named to the dean’s list at Northwest Nazarene University for the 2017 spring semester. To be eligible for this academic honor in the College of Arts & Sciences, a student must earn a 3.5 grade-point average while taking at least 12 graded credit hours of classes at the undergraduate level.

The college is in Nampa, Idaho.
