Edmonds Police received a call of a suspicious suitcase at the Amtrak Station located at 210 Railroad Ave in Edmonds, Thursday morning at 7 a.m.

An Amtrak employee noticed the suitcase unattended near a garbage can and bench after a Sounder train had left.

Once at the scene Edmonds Police contacted the King County Transit bomb squad who had an officer assigned with a bomb dog respond to the location.

One train was held up while the suitcase was examined.

The bomb dog gave no indication on the suitcase and it was found to be empty without any identification in it.

Regular commuter traffic was quickly restored within an hour of the suitcase being found.

The suitcase was taken in as evidence in case someone comes forward to claim it.
