The Edmonds Freemasons donated $400 to help buy medical supplies for youth sports.

The Edmonds Freemasons recently donated $400 to Edmonds Youth Sports.

Edmonds Youth Sports is a local youth organization that is the home of the local co-ed lacrosse team, Edmonds Eagles.

The Eagles are in their second season, coming off of a fantastic start last year.  There are three teams made up of 1st through 8th graders.  These are the 3/4 grade, 5/6 grade, and 7/8 grade teams.

Their season just started and goes into June.

“We wanted to support a local youth organization and we liked what we saw with the Edmonds Eagles lacrosse program,” Les Schwartz, Master of Edmonds Lodge #165 said. “The coaches teach that winning is important, but honor, respect, integrity, and sportsmanship are even more important because those are the characteristics that are carried with you through life.”

, “The Masons donation will go towards providing the Eagles with medical supplies and medical bags to carry them in,” Eric Vaughn, Managing Team Director of Edmonds Youth Sports / Edmonds Eagles, said. “This is a much needed and sometimes forgotten area.  We are grateful to the Edmonds Masons for helping us fund this effort.”
