Edmonds Diversity Commission makes top appointments

The Edmonds Diversity Commission has named Diana White chair and Donnie Griffin vice-chair for 2018.

White is a founding member of the commission since its inception in 2015. She led efforts to pass an Indigenous Peoples Day Resolution in Edmonds and is interested in issues around diversity, equity and inclusion.

She also serves as a director on the Edmonds School Board.

Griffin was appointed to the commission in December 2016. After more than 30 years in business, government and nonprofit organizations, Griffin has been active since retirement in 2014, serving his church and on boards, as well as being involved in programs in Seattle aimed at diverting at-risk youth away from criminal behaviors and incarceration.

The commission also includes Ed Dorame, Maria Montalvo, Patricia Valle, Dean Olson, Sarah Mixson, Anabel Hovig and Brian Potter.
