Edmonds actors starring in Whidbey TV production

Courtesy of: Lacie Peterson Edmonds resident Karla Crouch is starring in Whidbey TV’s production of “The Adventures of Captain Callie.”

Two Edmonds actors, Karla Crouch and Lily Peterson, are now starring in a children’s TV show produced by Whidbey TV Production called “The Adventures of Captain Callie."

The musical, nautical-themed show following the adventures of Captain Callie and her crewmates as they explore Whidbey Island’s hidden treasures.

With an emphasis on imagination, positivity, and whimsy, “The Adventures of Captain Callie” features music, dance and storytelling. The show was created, written, choreographed and composed by Chelsea Randall.

The first of six episodes aired Aug. 16. New episodes will air each week. The show is available only on Whidbey TV channel 501, but Edmonds residents can stream it on whidbeytv.com.

Crouch is an Edmonds actress, singer, dancer, and performer. She is starring as the title role. Born and raised on Whidbey Island, she earned a bachelor's in musical theater from Cal State Chico. She then moved to Southern California and worked in professional theater for several years.

Crouch is currently a pilates instructor at Bodyworks Pilates of Edmonds and lives in town with her husband and daughter.

Peterson, 13, starred in Madrona Children Theater's 2017 production of “Willy Wonka” in the role of Charlie. She attends Madrona K-8 and lives in Edmonds.

Those with Whidbey TV Channel 501 can watch for free. Those who do not get the channel can stream it on whidbeytv.com. Viewers can get a free week of streaming in order to watch the first episode, then can subscribe to the streaming service or rent each episode.
