Democratic group endorses Nelson, Crank and Johnson for Edmonds

The 32nd District Democrats, a group based in Shoreline, has endorsed Edmonds City Councilmember Mike Nelson for mayor. Nelson is running against fellow Councilmember Neil Tibbott.

The group also endorsed Alicia Crank for council Position 5. She is competing against Vivian Olson.

Also endorsed: Laura Johnson for Position 7. She is facing Nathan Monroe.

They are among 14 candidates with the endorsement of the 32nd Legislative District, but not necessarily the sole endorsement. The group will be endorsing more candidates at its next monthly meeting, May 8.

The 32nd Legislative District serves Edmonds, Woodway, Lynnwood, Mountlake Terrace, North Seattle, Shoreline and certain unincorporated areas in Snohomish County.

The 2nd vice chair of the group is Jenna Nand of Edmonds, who has filed to run for Edmonds City Council, but has not yet stated what position she is running for.
