Vivian Olson, running for Edmonds City Council Position 5, had her campaign kickoff Monday, March 11, at American Brewing Company in Edmonds.

Numerous Edmonds citizens were on hand, including Dave Teitizel, who holds the Position 5 seat through the end but will not seek re-election. He has thrown his support behind Olson.

Among the many there were City Councilmember Neil Tibbott, Senior Center President Farrell Fleming, Edmonds-Woodway teacher David Quinn, ArtSpot owner Tracy Felix, Council candidate Diana White, Ombu Salon + Spa owner Beth Sanger, Spangler Book Exchange owner James Spangler, and many others.

There was beer, wine and small bites from Dojo Togo.

“I want to create an easy, comfortable opportunity to both thank the people who have already come out in support of my campaign, and to welcome anyone new to hear my vision and to share their thoughts about what is working or not working here in Edmonds,” Olson said.

Look for more Thursday in the Beacon.
