Council approves salary hike

Jun 16, 2017

The City Council has approved a request from Parks and Recreation Director Carrie Hite to increase the salary range for the new deputy director position open after the retirement of longtime deputy director Renee McRae.

The department was reorganized last year, and a Deputy Director position was added; at that time the 2016 wage comparable were done. Three other Parks Deputy Director positions are open in the greater Puget Sound region and Edmonds’ salary is on the low end of the range, Hite said.
