Good news for Seattle Barkery

Seattle Barkery is a common sight at the Edmonds dog park at Marina Beach on Friday afternoons. Expect to see more of the food truck for dogs and their owners. The City Council has approved an ordinance amending Edmonds City Code to permit concession agreements year-round in Edmonds parks.

In 2012, at the request of Mayor Dave Earling and Parks Director Carrie Hite, the City Council adopted changes to the code to allow Earling to approve concessions in the parks.

Since 2012 there has been a shave ice vendor at Marina Beach, a paddle board vendor, recreation fitness programs in waterfront parks, and one vendor at the ferry mini-park who was not invited back.

One of stipulations in the code was “seasonal” to allow concessions from May through September.

Now you can get dog treats no matter the season.
