Howard Chermak of Edmonds-based Chermak Construction announced Wednesday, Aug. 2, that he is retiring after 37 years of serving the people of the community.

The company has been sold to Noah France of France Construction in Woodinville. France has spent his entire career in the construction industry.

The company will continue to operate under the Chermak name and in its current location on Edmonds Way.

“Howard and I have worked hard on this sale and transition,” France said. “We wanted to be careful that it provided the best long-term solution for both Chermak Construction and France Construction customers and employees. We believe we got it right, and that all will benefit from this change.”

Many Chermak employees have worked with France and his team over the years and value how he operates, Chermak said.

“It is time for me to retire and pass this company on to a second generation. I believe that Noah has the qualities needed to lead Chermak Construction into the future. He shares our commitment to quality work, personal integrity and customer service that have been the hallmark of this company since 1980.”

Chermak Construction is a home remodeling company offering project design and craftsmanship.
