Bring buckets and shovels for sand-sculpting contest at Edmonds Marina Beach

Courtesy of: Tammy Rankins “Myhippisaur: Mythical creature stalking Edmonds’ beaches” was created at the 2013 sand-sculpting contest by the Lemon family of Brier and Edmonds.

Edmonds Parks and Recreation will host a sand-sculpting contest from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 12, at Marina Beach.

Teams or individuals are welcome. Judging will begin at noon, and awards will be handed out at 12:30 p.m.

The contest is sponsored Nama’s Candy Store.
