Auditions for ‘Miracle on 34th Street’ | Community brief

Aug 28, 2014

The Driftwood Players are holding open auditions for “Miracle on 34th Street” directed by Nikki Fey-Burgett.

Auditions will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 6, and at 3 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 7 at the Driftwood Admin Office, 306 Main St.

There are two parts for women of all ages, three parts for men of all ages, and one part for a female child.

Auditioners should prepare a one-minute monologue, sing a simple carol, and bring a headshot and resume.

Children and teens should perform a one-minute monologue. Memorization is not required, but is strongly recommended, especially by teens.

Teens must sing one verse of “We Wish You A Merry Christmas,” or “Jingle Bells,” to give an idea of vocal range. Children may sing, but it is not required.

Sign up for an audition appointment online at or call 425-774-9600.

Fifteen performances will be held from Nov. 28 through Dec. 21 on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays 2 p.m. plus one additional Saturday matinee on Dec. 6. Performances will be held at the Wade James Theatre, 950 Main St., Edmonds.
