Art Walk is alive and thriving | Letter

May 22, 2014

Editor, The Beacon,

Third Thursday Art Walk continues to thrive. Walking around town Thursday night, the city was alive with laughter, excitement, people in thestreetsandartistsbusytalkingabouttheir exhibits.

Over the last three months, the Art Walk has gone through some changes, and the monthly DEMA meetings I’ve attended have been very productive and informative to create the new leadership.

Alexandra Rousu (DEMA President) and Denise Cole (Art Interim Coordinator) have worked well together.

Sometimes, change is not easy, but from my perspective, it’s been a smooth transition.

This change will be beneficial for the Edmonds community and will continue to make Edmonds an“artsdestinationcity.”
