Saturday, July 20 9:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and Sunday, July 21 from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Everett Yacht Club - Riverside Room (404 14th Street, Everett). Whether you are thinking of buying your first boat or have sailed many miles, this boat handling and safety course for the recreational boater will get you on your way. Since 1947 Everett Sail and Power Squadron – America’s Boating Club of Snohomish County – has been teaching boating classes to the recreational boater. The squadron’s award-winning classroom instruction covers rules of the road, emergencies on board, as well as anchoring, docking and trailering. This course includes lessons on Personal Watercraft and knot-tying. Upon course completion, you may apply for the Washington State Boater Education Card, which is required to operate a recreational power boat. RSVP through Linda Martin, 425-422-4721.
