The two-story Gerdon House at 209 Caspers St., also known as the Madrona Manor, was officially added to the Edmonds Historic Register on Tuesday, March 20.

The Dutch colonial from 1922 was the longtime home of Betty Mueller, who died in 2013. Kurt and Cari Campbell, pictured with Edmonds Mayor Dave Earling, bought the property in 2015.

It was a Montgomery Ward kit house, manufactured at the Gordon-Van Tine mill in Chehalis, shipped by rail to the Edmonds depot and hauled to the construction site by wagon or truck.
