The city of Edmonds now has two pot shops in city limits after the opening Monday, July 17, of Green Token Cannabis at 7215 212th St. SW, next to the former My-T-Mart store.

The first was Cannabis Station on Highway 99, Development Services Director Shane Hope said, who added that recreational marijuana establishments are allowed under limited conditions per Chapter 17.110 of the Edmonds Municipal Code.

“Besides meeting all state regulations, the city code limits the areas in which marijuana stores can be located to certain areas that are predominantly commercial,” Hope said.

Stacy Percival-Birchard owns Green Token Cannabis with husband Warren Birchard.

“We’re set up so customers can have one-on-one conversations with budtenders,” Percival-Birchard said.

“Whether they are new to cannabis or have used it for many years, they’ll be able to talk with trained budtenders without being rushed through a checkout line. We’re also former owners of a medical cannabis dispensary and have medically certified personnel available because the care of patients is very important to us.”

Percival-Birchard said the store offers an extensive assortment of strains, concentrates and properly dosed edibles, many of them from Cannabis Cup-winning vendors.

“We also have a huge selection of glass, papers, pipes, grinders and dab rigs as well as vaporizers and batteries,” store manager Kevin Labrosse said.

Green Token Cannabis is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Sundays. For more information, call 425-595-2072 or go to www.greentokencannabis-Edmonds.com.
