The Edmonds Senior Center welcomes Bastyr Natural Medicine Community Clinic, which will open its doors on  Tuesday - January 3, from noon to 4 p.m.   The new community clinic will be opened every Tuesday and IS NOT A WALK-IN CLINIC.  Reservations can be made by calling the Edmonds Senior Center at 425-774-5555.

For the first six-months, two  advanced level students  from Bastyr University will see patients under the supervision of  Drs. Erica Oberg and Ryan Bradley, licensed Naturopathic Physicians and Bastyr faculty members.

The patients'  first visit will be scheduled for 1.5 hours to allow for a full history and examination.  Succeeding visits will be scheduled for one hour.

Naturopathic medicine is a form of primary care medicine that emphasizes prevention and wellness.

Natural healing is effective in preventing and treating chronic and degenerative diseases that afflict all of us such as: stress, digestive problems, colds, flus, allergies, asthma, depression and much more.

Bastyr University is a private institution in Kenmore, WA and is internationally recognized as a pioneer in the study of natural healing.

Bastyr is the most comprehensive academic center of its kind in the United States with science-based natural medicine studies, an exceptional faculty and more than two decades of experience in training clinicians in complementary medicine.

There will be a $15 administration fee to help with the overhead expenses.

Cost to operate the Clinic is approximately $20,000 annually .  Executive Director Farrell Fleming expects the operating overhead to be supported by grants and matching funds.

Recently, the Peg and Rick Young Foundation gifted a $5,000 matching grant  and these funds brought total support for the program to over $10,000.

Donations (grants and matching funds) will be greatly appreciated, so please call Executive Director Farrel Fleming at 425-774-5555.
