Dayton Street utility replacement project public meeting

May 05, 2019

Construction of the Dayton Street utility replacement project from Third to Ninth avenues south will begin May 13.

The project will replace the street and upsize the existing sanitary sewer, potable water and storm water drain pipes.

The goal is to replace old sewer and water pipes while increasing capacity to the city’s drainage system. The City said that increasing drainage capacity will help to alleviate flooding in downtown Edmonds during intense rainfall.

A public meeting is 6-7:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 8, in the Brackett Room of City Hall, 121 Fifth Ave S.

Participants can meet the contractor and the City’s construction management team, and learn more about the project specifics, phasing, public impacts and proposed construction schedule.
