Eagles and cormorants in Edmonds

Photographer Janine Harles was at the fishing pier the other morning.

She captured some amazing images.

"Cormorants kept catching sculpins, and when they do, as they try to swallow, they kind of play with their food," she said.

"One of our resident eagles was sitting on the piling watching as well. Every time it would swoop in and try to steal the meal! It never did get anything, but this all happened right next to me, which was awesome!"
