Fire District 1 budget hearing set for Nov. 19

The Snohomish County Fire District 1 Board of Commissioners will hold a public hearing on the district’s proposed 2014 budget on Nov. 19.

The hearing will take place during the board’s regular meeting, which begins at 7 p.m., at Fire District 1 Headquarters, 12425 Meridian Ave. S., Everett.

The meeting and hearing are open to the public. Citizens will have an opportunity to comment on the proposed budget during the hearing.

Fire District 1 is the largest provider of fire and emergency medical services in Snohomish County, with full-time staffing at 12 fire stations. The department serves nearly 200,000 residents in unincorporated south Snohomish County, Brier, Edmonds, Mountlake Terrace and Woodway.
