About Us

Beacon Publishing, Inc. was founded in 1992 by Paul and Catherine Archipley.

The company publishes three free community newspapers: the Mukilteo Beacon, Edmonds Beacon and South Everett Beacon. It also publishes Mukilteo activities guides in spring, summer and fall, as well as annual visitors' guides to Mukilteo and Edmonds.

Mukilteo Beacon

The Mukilteo Beacon was first published in 1992. It is a weekly newspaper, with new issues printed on Wednesdays. Circulation is 10,000+ and includes all of Mukilteo, plus South Everett, Picnic Point and Serene Lake neighborhoods. It is distributed to over 150 stores, businesses and schools in the community.

Edmonds Beacon

The Edmonds Beacon (formerly the Edmonds Paper) was first published in 1986. It is a weekly newspaper, with new issues printed on Thursdays. Circulation is 10,000+ and includes all of Edmonds, plus Woodway and Lynnwood neighborhoods. It is distributed to over 220 stores, businesses and schools in the community.

South Everett Beacon

The South Everett Beacon was first published in 2011. It is a monthly newspaper, with new issues printed on the first Wednesday of the month. Circulation is 8,000+, with more than 5,500 direct mailed to homes in South Everett neighborhoods. It is distributed to over 50 stores, businesses and schools in the community.
