Women in Combat? You bet!

By Steve Bernheim | Jun 10, 2013

That sex-crazed sadists stop at nothing to satisfy their lusts does not mean women should be specially protected from serving on front lines, as Jon Fleming suggested in his letter here last week.

Unspeakable sex crimes against war prisoners, some digitally recorded by US military men and women, occur regardless of the sex of the victim.

When they are taken prisoner on the battlefield, we best protect our combat troops from unspeakable sexual assault – short of ceasing combat operations – by refraining from it ourselves.

That a lady, a boy, or a transgender recruit stands a good chance of being raped or humiliated is not a reason to keep a qualified person from combat – or enlistment – in the United States Army.
