UPDATE: Woman killed by train at Haines Wharf in Edmonds ID'd
A 41-year-old woman was struck and killed by a northbound Amtrak train Sunday, March 19, in the area of Haines Wharf in Edmonds.
The Snohomish County Medical Examiner’s Office identified her as Jade Reed.
Sgt. Shane Hawley said it happened at 7:10 p.m. in the 16100 block of 75th Place West. The woman was with her husband at the time. The husband was not injured.
The tracks were shut down for several hours in both directions while investigators surveyed the scene.
Edmonds Police say the case is closed, and that it was an accident.
