William A. MacNeil 1946 - 2012
Bill grew up in the Tri- Cities. He loved little league. He got his first job at Sadler Mac Neil detailing cars. That is where he got his love for cars.
His first one was a Ford Model T.
After graduating from Kenniwick High he attended Columbia Basin for two years.
In 1963 he married the love of his life Carmen Tatum. They would have celebrated their 49th Anniversary this September.
Together they had three daughters. He loved his daughters and always wanted to be apart of everything they did.
Bill enjoyed cars, coin collecting. golfing and the Seahawks.
He was a Season ticket holder for 25 years. But most of all he loved Fishing. He went on at least one trip a year and was always out to catch "The Big One".
He always said he was the greatest salesman.
He worked at Monarch Appliances for 28 years then retired at the age of 50. Life was just beginning.
He became a very active member at the Lynnwood Elks and was on the House Committee for five years,
He was ELK of the year 2007-2008, and started Friday night Bingo. They called him "Bingo Bill".
Bill loved his wife and bought her a little coffee stand in Edmonds which was right next to his Son in law Brian's shop...always there to help out.
That was what he liked to do. He worked selling cars for his Son in law Dave. Always striving to sell another car.
In September Bill and Carmen sold their home in Edmonds and moved to Meridian, Idaho where they built a new home he loved.
Bill started working again at Gulf Coast Western selling gas and oil with his son-in-law Nick, a job at which he said he "missed his calling."
Sadly earlier this year Bill was diagnosed with Cancer and lost his battle on the 4th of July at home with his family by his side.
Bill leaves behind his wife Carmen, Lorrie (Brian), Trina (Nick), Trisha (Dave). Six grandkids: Jacob, Jesse, Janie, Olivia, Natalie and Will, and his kitties, Lucy and Ricky.
He will be truly missed by all that loved him.
A celebration of life will be held at a later time.
